Product Details

Most swirl marks come from the wash itself. A flat sponge or cloth holds grit right at the contact surface, so every pass presses it against the clear coat.

A chenille mitt works differently. The long, soft fingers stand off the surface and trap dirt deep between them, away from the paint, so what's actually touching the panel is clean fibre rather than the grit you've just lifted. The same depth holds a large volume of shampoo, which keeps the surface lubricated as you work and means fewer trips back to the bucket mid-panel.

Rinse it in a second bucket between panels and the grit stays out of your wash water entirely.

Care instructions

Rinse thoroughly after use to flush trapped grit out of the fibres. Machine wash at a maximum of 40°C with other microfibers only. No fabric softener, no bleach, no tumble drying. Never use it on wheels or door shuts — grit picked up there stays in the pile and returns to your paint on the next wash.

Why not just use a sponge?

A sponge holds grit flat against the paint, so every pass presses it into the clear coat. A deep-pile mitt lets that grit fall between the fibres, away from the surface — which is the single biggest difference between a wash that adds swirl marks and one that doesn't.

Do I need two buckets to use it properly?

It works either way, but two buckets is what makes the difference. Rinsing the mitt in clean water between panels leaves the grit behind instead of carrying it back into your shampoo.

Can I use it on the wheels?

No. Brake dust and road grit embed in the pile and come back out on your paint next time. Wheels need their own dedicated tools.

How do I wash it?

Rinse it thoroughly under running water after every use to flush out trapped grit, then machine wash at 40°C with other microfibers. No fabric softener — it coats the fibres and ruins their ability to hold water and release dirt.

How long will it last?
